The Department of Veterans Affairs is a partner of the All of Us Research Program, from the National Institutes of Health. All of Us seeks to actively engage one million or more Americans over a 10-year period, creating a rich and diverse data resource that researchers can use to study different factors such as lifestyle, environment, and DNA to learn more about how those factors impact overall health. At the VA, we are dedicated to ensuring that Veterans are represented in this historic effort. Participation in the program includes online enrollment, completing surveys, sharing health data and records, and providing biospecimens.
All of Us currently enrolls Veterans at 17 VA medical centers across the country – you can find our current locations here on our website. In addition to our 17 sites, we also partner with different Veteran Service Organizations to host enrollment events at their posts so we may expand the VA All of Us Research Program to more Veterans in areas where we do not have enrollment sites.
These enrollment events are typically 1-2 days where we would utilize your post’s event space to enroll interested Veterans on the spot. Enrollment consists of completing consents and surveys online, and biospecimen collection. We would bring all required materials and our trained staff members would take care of the full appointment from start to finish. All we ask of potential partners is permission to use their space and share information about All of Us with any interested Veterans at their post.
If you are interested in helping us bring the VA All of Us Research Program to your post, or would like to learn more about what an enrollment event would look like, please contact us at: Sophia.Lee4@va.gov or 857-398-8129.
